Rhode Island 10 Hour Construction Course Online Offering

With the fall weather being what it was, the time could not be any better for a safety-training lesson. Here at Online OSHA Safety Training, we wanted everyone out there in the Ocean State of Rhode Island to know that we feel the sting of the coming winter storms. These monsters of a system can and will dump so much snow and ice on top of Rhode Island and most of the surrounding states, we felt it would be cool (no pun intended) if we warmed up things with a little posting concerning the requirements for the RhodeIsland OSHA 10 Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Course.

Rhode Island OSHA 10 Hour Construction

Rhode Island construction workers, who are setting their sights on being employed as soon as the winter conditions depart, and the construction industry rebounds, in the Northeast and Midwest, are required to take the Rhode Island OSHA 10 Hour Construction Course. The great part of registering and enrolling into the 10 hour safety training course offered online at Online OSHA Safety Training, comes from the ability to not have to travel farther than a few feet to the home computer!

Cold Winter of 2011-2012

This is the best news that we have heard in quite some time and we know, deep down in our hearts, that all of the Rhode Island construction workers, who froze their tales off this past winter, feel the same way. The winter storms have been intense recently in the state of Rhode Island as well as through a good portion of the continental United States. Everyone seemed to be either snowed-in or iced-in and that means we all must use our heads when travelling through the wintery conditions each season.

OSHA Safety Resource Leader

We hope everyone is safe and warm right now and pray that there are no more fatalities from the storms that kept on dumping snow and ice on Rhode Island. At Online OSHA Safety Training, we take great pride in understanding what sacrifice it takes in order to better oneself and rise to the occasion. What we are predominantly discussing is when the opportunity arises for a great job on a construction site, that you are not alone when trying hard to place yourself in that position, and bring home funds for the family!

Ocean State Construction Worker

At Online OSHA Safety Training, it is important that you know the facts, about weather conditions and how to best defend yourself, when working in these dangerous, climatic conditions. We will be providing you, the Ocean State construction worker, with a plethora of great, construction worker safety training, along with your very own library of safe workplace and worksite resources. All you have to do is stay warm and keep everyone inside as much as possible during this 2011-2012 winter storm season.

OSHA Safety Training Keeps Eyes on Road with Distractive Driving Issues

At the start of 2011, there were millions of otherwise very good and defensive drivers, populating the highways and by-ways of America’s roads. The only issue that most onlookers had and still have with these good drivers is their almost incessant use of a cell phone or other mobile communication device. This major flaw in the normally correct driving habits of Americans deserved attention from the likes of OSHA safety training professionals, like us here at Online OSHA Safety Training.

OSHA Safety Training

It was only a scant 19 months or so ago that the Georgia legislature joined the heavily publicized countrywide movement to institute a ban on texting or talking in general, with a handset, while driving. Beginning on July 1, 2010, O.C.G.A. § 40-6-241.2 made it extremely illegal for drivers over eighteen years of age to "operate a motor vehicle on any public road or highway of the Peach State while using a wireless telecommunications device to write, send, or read any text based communication, including but not limited to a text message, instant message, e-mail, or Internet data". (O.C.G.A. § 40-6-241.1 likewise prohibits texting while driving for the under eighteen crowd).

Be Safe Be Cool

One of the best methods for learning youre states current legislation and laws on driving while texting is to log onto the proper State-specific legislation site and read all you can about this safety minded legislation. Some fellow OSHA safety-training colleagues used to text as if texting was going out of style and did not bat one eye at the thought of safety while driving. Thank goodness, they saw the light and now fully understand why it is a negative driving behavior to operate anything that requires the use of hands or detracts from the skill that driving demands.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recently chipped in on the issue as well. Recognizing the significant number of workers who spend most of their workdays on the highway-visiting clients and customers, the Department of Labor through OSHA announced its "Distracted Driving Initiative". What this details is the changing of the driving habits for all the OSHA employees, as safety is the final determinant of the organization, after all!

Goal For 2012 - North American Wind Farms and Worker Health and Safety Important Topic in OSHA Safety Training

The wind industry is fastly becoming one of the mainstream forms of non-traditional electricity generation in North America. The safety and health factors, that are essential to a productive yield in the wind farming sector, are ingrained in most of the OSHA safety training courses. These courses are found online and onsite, for a select few firms and educational sites.

Green Energy Technologies

Onsite safety courses, such as the ones offered at Online OSHA Safety Training, have always detailed the, across the board, safety issues. What is important to realize is that with the new and increasingly apparent green energy technologies, there are certain, safety and health features, which must be now included in the onsite courses.

Losing Crude Oil Dreams

To take a quick peek, into the numbers for the wind farm enterprises, that are populating high wind, shear cliffs, and pastoral acres upon acres, of previously empty and barren land sites, the impudence will be on total production. This may seem a bit new and maybe different for those that are used to counting barrels of oil or sweet crude on a container ship from Saudi Arabia, but eventually, all of these numbers and figures will start to become second-nature.

Keeping Workers Safe From All Types of Worksite Injuries

OSHA safety is all about keeping workers safe from all types of worksite injuries. The wind farm industry has many areas of safety and health concern that are being addressed as Online OSHA Safety Training at this very time. Have you seen the size of those turbines and the blades on the windmills? Massive is an understatement and the safety realm has taken notice especially the Department of Labor and OSHA.

40k MW of Installed Capacity

The daily capacity load, for an average wind farm in North America, stands at 40,000 MW (Millawatts). That is a great deal of energy and something that in itself stands to reason for safety and health of the workers on the farms. The wind farming industry is so new and growing that it is a difficult aspect to form the new rules and regulations for health and safety specific to the wind sector.

North American Wind Farms

The simple fact exists that North American wind farms are unlike any other existing infrastructure. There are no industry standards set for wind technicians, yet. What is being forced to happen is that the wind farm is forced to design and utilize their own safety strategies based on best practices. These instances of improvised rules and regulations, for wind farming, have met varying degrees of success. In the worst cases, large fines have been handed out to culpable wind farming parties and for this; we only have to direct those farmers to Online OSHA Safety Training.

OSHA Training Congratulates and Supports US and UK Team Effort to Further Undermine Libya Forces

The United States, along with their most trusting, complimenting ally, the United Kingdom, have teamed-up to examine what needs to be done to halt the fighting capability of the Libyan Defense Forces under the leadership of Muammer Gaddafi. OSHA training is an important part of American national safety preparation, and can be easily intermingled, with any and all news, that is constantly being piped out of the Middle East.

NATO Support

What is important to know and understand is that safety is everyone’s concern and this does not just include the worksites and the workplace locations, based in the United States. Supporting and applauding any military action in Libya, and other non-military but effective NATO-supported actions, is a key element in the world safety goal.

Maritime Blockade

One of the methods that the US/UK coalition has set to update is the military’s blockade of the main city of Tripoli. This is the port that Colonel Muammer Gaddafi utilizes the most to supply his army with the much-needed diesel fuel that his mechanized divisions require. While it is easy to think that Libya is immersed in usable, refined diesel fuel, this simply is not the case. Even before the battles started and before the French fighters effectively knocked out all of the refining capabilities of the Libyan oil sector, the refined diesel search was on an almost perpetual basis. Imposing a maritime blockade on fuel supplies to the regime is one of the most promising actions in recent times for the US/UK and Libyan Rebel cause.

Diesel Dry Up

The theory that an army is only as efficient as what it is supplied with, strikes home in the heart of the Libyan Army capabilities. Colonel Muammer Gaddafi needs diesel and needs this fuel in a refined, ready to go state, or the mechanized ATV vehicles, which are the backbone of his entire armed force, will be stuck in the sand. OSHA safety training commends all actions that promote a safer, kinder, global environment, and that means assisting the Libyan people with ousting one of the most despicable leaders ever to enter office.

Importance of “OSHA ACCEPTED” Wording for Online OSHA 30-Hour Construction Courses

In a perfect safety conscious world, a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet. Those famous lines, quipped by William Shakespeare, work well in a fantastic play and a few hundred or so movies, in which the Master’s words are used, and quite prodigiously at that, but in the OSHA safety training world, there is no room for misnaming errors.

Department of Labor

The Department of Labor, which is the ruling body for OSHA, has strict requirements for online providers, when it comes to offering all of the safety training courses, including the OSHA 30 Hour Construction Course. In addition to calling a rose a rose, the OSHA courses, which are online, have to follow the OSHA outline, for the specific course. Furthermore, the course must be submitted for OSHA approval and be perpetually updated, for new requirements.

Approved and Recommended

The glaring warning sign, that all workers and OSHA safety training needing professionals must pay close attention to, is the words “approved” or “recommended”. You should know that OSHA does not allow the words to be used with any of the online courses. The only words that are allowed in conjunction with any OSHA course are “OSHA Accepted.”

Big Government is Watching?

Although this may seem like overkill and once again, Big Government getting too involved in the education principles for their own good, it really makes sense here for safety issues. OSHA needs to know that they have been given the chance to review the course content.

Red Alert - Online OSHA Safety Training Speaks Out About USA Infrastructure Score of D

A lack of vision, on the part of politicians, is a leading cause of the lack of funding, for high speed and aging infrastructure. A red alert is a mere sprinkling, of the call out, for the entire nation, that we Americans deserve better than a score of “D” which is what we have received and rightfully so, from a certified third-party infrastructure, globally respected, watchdog group.

Mass Transit Bill

What must be passed, and passed immediately, regardless of the trillion-dollar national debt issue, is the much-needed extension of the Mass Transit Bill. Online OSHA Safety Training is vitally aware of the inherent dangers of allowing the nations infrastructure to remain in its decrepit, crumbling state.

Crumbling Columbus Infrastructure

As a superpower and still the number one ranked, across the board, nation, in the world, we as Americans can no longer sit back and hear the US House of Representatives argue back and forth, about spending money on our infrastructure. We deserve the lowly graded score of “D” and only have to walk under any bridge, in one of the largest metropolitan cities, such as Columbus, Ohio, and see the deterioration of 60 years of rust and non-maintenance.

House Resolution 662

It is time to pass House Resolution 662 and get America working again and save our nations weakened infrastructure. The Highway and Mass Transit Bill will provide federal dollars for states that want and need to put 12-15% of the unemployed workforce, back to work on high-speed rails and bridge and mass transit construction.

Infrastructure Rebuilding Needed Now!

Transportation is key for a nation as large as the United States, and as an OSHA safety training provider, and a leading one at that, we need to focus on the infrastructure issue, and do so in a way that has not been seen, since the years following the Great Depression. Americans need to be working and what better environment to do so then in the rebuilding and creation of our very own infrastructure?

Online OSHA Safety Training

Please visit our site at onlineoshasafetytraining and see what we have to offer, in terms of safety training courses, as well as a library of relevant, OSHA issues, that are there for your education and workplace enlightenment.

Great Resource for Midwestern Construction Workers

The snow and ice that has been coming down in droves this winter storm season is something that we all will have to face eventually. It matters not if you reside in states and regions of the country that are virtually unaffected by the blizzards that have paralyzed the interior of the nation. Eventually, the trickle down effect will take hold and touch each person, either indirectly or directly, as these storm situations always come with latent affects. What the safety professionals at Online OSHA Safety Training have done is to take a proactive step towards facilitating a quicker, more organized and educated approach, to handling the aftereffects of the blizzards.
