Online OSHA Safety Training – Revisiting the BP Gulf Oil Spill in 2012

BP Gulf Oil Spill Visit – Tremor Taylor

After returning from a visit to the now pristine and clean shores of Biloxi, Mississippi, Taylor Tremor knew what it was that this Online OSHA Safety Training VP had to do. A brief write-up on what Taylor said “Was one of the most beautiful Gulf of Mexico locations I have ever seen!”

Here is that current article by Taylor Tremor.

It was April 20, 2010 when the Gulf of Mexico was slicked-up by the BP Gulf Oil Spill. The images of oily seabirds and mucked up beaches filled our eyes and chilled our hearts. We did not realize just how much oil a drilling platform, that had been damaged by a fiery explosion, could weep into the waters of this natural wonder.

Now that I have seen with my own eyes, the dynamic, financially-invigorating British Petroleum turnaround in the Gulf, I now understand what it took to get to this point. BP did a great job in cleaning up the oil spill that they created on that fateful day in April.

I will be revisiting this very location in August of this year and will send back pictures of what the Gulf looks like at that time.

At OOST, we never let-up on being watchdogs for our fragile environment.

Sincerely,

Taylor Tremor
