Oregon Ducks and Online OSHA Safety Training Set To Win in 2011

The Beaver State, known as much for fantastic Pacific Salmon fishing as for its healthy population of beavers, is home to a thriving commercial fisheries industry as well. We all know fishing comes with certain occupational risks, especially when the rule of thumb on the high seas of the Pacific Ocean, is produce in numbers that will guarantee a fair-return on market day and guarantees yet another fishing season. All this commercial bounty from the oceanic waters comes with a heavy price and that is casualties, and at times, fatalities. Set against the backdrop of all this natural wonder is the NCAA Number One Ranked Football Team in the land, the Quack Attack, the University of Oregon Ducks.

BCS National Championship Game

As the date for the BCS National Championship Game creeps ever so close, we thought it would be a great time to show all the US workers out there, battling daily for a paycheck, why Online OSHA Safety Training combined with the Ducks, makes a fantastic winning combination in 2011!

Big Construction Sector Big Ducks Cheering Base

Besides protein-filled and mighty-tasty salmon fillets, Oregon has a construction sector that may be surprising to those out of the Pacific Loop. In order to stave off an industry wide run for the local ER’s the States Game and Fish Department recommends that all commercial anglers working on boats in the pacific have at least one employee not the skipper/captain that will serve as a heath and safety designee. This honorary individual is to receive a stipend from the State for safety training. It seems as if Oregon is not only a great State for fishing and construction but also a groundbreaker and a hub for open-minded fast-forwarding thinking!

Imperative to get as Much Safety Training as Possible

Injuries and Illness at the work continues to be a key factor for workers reporting away from work and hence is a major factor in reduced productivity and affecting workers ability to earn more. With all the factors above and continuous efforts by OSHA and other government organizations, it is imperative for construction companies to get their workers trained as well as the construction workers to avoid fatal injuries, loss of pay etc.

How About Online OSHA Safety Training Gift Voucher for Accident Prone Worker

We all know at least one or possibly two workers in the family that are a bit clumsy. This is not to be meant as a stab towards those that occasionally come home from work with scraps and other injuries. This is not aimed at those hardworking if not hazardous to themselves workers that arrive back at the house with bandages about as often as they do with a smile!

Online OSHA Safety Training Gift Voucher

This review is about the benefits of giving a gift long after Christmas is over and one that keeps on giving. The Online OSHA Safety Training Gift Voucher for accident-prone workers is the gifting that never is returned. You see, there are literally millions of workers out there on the construction sites as well as general industry workers who are in dire need of a safety-training course. We understand that for the majority of these people there are superintendents and health and safety advisers who cover them 100% with these courses. It is for those that are in the new catch-phrase “donut loop” that we are concerned.

Online OSHA Safety Training

Before we get into just how to gift a safety-training course, such as the popular OSHA 10-hour construction course, from Online OSHA Safety Training, we will talk about commonsense and safety. Some of the best methods for learning how to avoid serious injury on a construction site start right in your head. 90% or more of safety is common sense and this is definitely not intended to belittle or scold any worker who has previously been involved in an accident as we at Online OSHA Safety Training take even the minor accidents very seriously. Commonsense and safety go hand in hand especially on a construction site where everything is a potential life-threatening accident waiting to happen. Every piece of machinery must be given the utmost respect in both usage and function as well.

Think Safety

A recent safety professional’s health study notated that 4/5serious worksite injuries were the result of workers not using commonsense while on the construction or industrial site. That translates into billions of dollars worth of Worker’s Compensation claims nationwide as well as billions of dollars of lost-revenue since the injured workers normally cannot be back on the construction site for an undetermined amount of time.

Safety and Health Advisor Approved

Commonsense while on the job, regardless of the industrial sector or construction sector that the job entails, is a major safety issue and something that needs to be addressed for the entire crew. How can you the safety and health advisor make sure that every worker on the job site uses their head and uses common sense with every action no matter how trivial? Online OSHA Safety Training offers a variety of OSHA compliance training as well as 8 and 40 hour Hazwoper Safety Training Courses. As safety is everyone’s goal common sense on the job is an irreplaceable factor and one that every worker on site needs to be deeply entrenched and knowledgeable of at all times.

Smart Gifting

In order to get a better sense of what needs to be mandatory on a construction or industrial site regardless of the state it is good to look at a brief list of common sense smarts. This safety smarts list was compiled by safety and health experts at onlineOSHAsafetytraining.com and is an invaluable tool for the health and welfare of every worker on site. This list is not all-inclusive and can be added to as long as the topic is as important as common sense when working on a construction/industrial work site. The sky’s the limit as safety is everyone’s concern and safety never takes a minute off! Either should you when it comes to using common sense and common sense smarts.

Safety Always Rocks!

  • Always Wear the Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Never Over Exert Yourself and Always ask for Assistance with Heavier Tasks
  • Do not Overreach or Extend Yourself while on Ladders even Stepladders since there is a Huge Risk of you Losing your Balance and Resulting in an Injury or even a Fatality to Yourself or the Co-Workers who you Fall upon
  • Always use the Proper Tool for the Job
  • 100% Concentrate on your Task at Hand Safety and Health Training Specialist refer to this as Task Demands
  • Be on constant watch and look out for unsafe acts or unsafe working conditions and then Amy Lee report into your supervisor or safety and health advisor
  • Watch out for Others and Remember that you are Part of a Team and not a Solo Construction or General Industrial Site One-Man Show

In addition to the common sense smarts please always ask the following questions before you begin to work on any of the jobs that are very dangerous on a construction or general industrial site.

  • Are the conditions safe for the job or task demand?
  • How safe are the methods in which the job will be completed?
  • Does everyone know what to do?
  • Does everyone know how to do it and do it very well?
  • Does the availability for a fall seem likely and if so would you be caught in between or under anything or possibly becoming electrocuted on this job?

Some of that passion for safety can be seen in the article presented below.

Safety Training Involves Safe Winter Driving Skills

If you want to operate large, construction machinery, and do so in the safest manner, then you will want to display the best winter driving skills, first. There are so many articles and reviews referring to the safe operation of construction machinery online, and we all understand that this is just as important as anything else in the functioning of a successful day onsite. What we want to focus on today here is how you are going to get there, in one piece, and with your sanity as well!

Winter of Discontent

The winter of 2010 has laid a ton of snow all over the United States from Connecticut all the way down to Georgia. It is of no surprise to the workers and the residents of the interior of the country that winter driving safety and defensive driving factors are among the most popular search requests online today. That is wonderful as it shows us safety professionals just how dedicated to safe driving, most of the people out there, in the snow-filled streets and highways, are with arriving alive!

Winter Driving Safety

What we cannot teach, in the many courses, such as the essential OSHA10 hour construction safety-training course, and the OSHA 30 hour lesson, is the art and science of safe winter driving in order to get to the site or workplace. This is why it is important, that you keep reading and kept retaining, all that you can, when it comes to buckling in the old-beater and hitting the bricks for work.

Highways and Byways

First, make certain that you clear the windshields and check the tires before you rush into the vehicle and try to get warm. We will not bore you to tears with redundant listings or paragraphs on how you should allow the engine to warm up and all that as we are sure that you do that already. What we will focus on is how you can keep yourself and youre vehicle, on the winter roads, especially when you are on the big, superhighways, which are very difficult for the country or the DOT, to clean off perpetually.

Drive Defensively

Make certain that after you inspect the vehicle for any trouble spots, that you check the headlights and the taillights for functioning lighting. Once you are good to go it is time to buckle up and take it slow so that you can get a feel for the winter road conditions. Drive defensively all the way to work and do the exact same when departing for home base. In this manner, you will be among the millions of safety minded and defensive drivers that are reducing the terrible traffic casualty and accident numbers especially when the roads are atrocious!

OSHA 10 Hour Construction Great New Years Safety Training Resolution

Out with the old and in with the new, or so the saying goes, is the focus of this profile on safety and resolutions. As much as we would all like to forget 2011, there is a lesson that can be and should be taken away from this very tough year, if nothing else.

OSHA 10 Hour Training Online

The OSHA 10 Hour Construction Course is something that can benefit each worker on a construction site and has proven to be quite a safety resource as well. We only have to look back to the traumatic environmental disaster that was and is the BP Gulf Oil Spill. Thanks to the quick thinking and fast footwork of the First Awareness and First Responders workers and volunteers, most with a construction safety background, the very first cleanup crews that hit the beaches were already safety trained. This only added to the speed into which a safe and proficient oil spill clean up effort was to be initiated.

OSHA 10 Hour Training

The OSHA 10 Hour Construction Course is a great New Years safety training resolution and we all know that there are multiple unselfish reasons for that. The next big crack in the infrastructure of the continental United States will require thousands of OSHA trained volunteers and workers. Make this year the year that you and your construction firm are ready when the call comes as it unfortunately and with a heavy heart, must.

OSHA States

There are some states that OSHA requires the workers in the construction trades to have the 10 Hour Construction Course and those are; Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Missouri and Nevada.

Outreach Training Program

Workers that are covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926 are recommended by OSHA to take the Outreach Training Program courses as a precursor to occupational safety and health for workers. This is a great recommendation by OSHA, as this effective and necessary safety course will only expand the knowledge base for both workers and work-related safety issues.

OSHA Safety Training Programs

The reason why we offer these OSHA safety-training programs is so that we can adequately and successfully train workers within the realm of basic occupational safety and health issues. It is our intention to fully support and provide every available opportunity for you to successfully comply with any and all OSHA accepted compliant safety (keyword) related courses and testing’s. We are firmly committed to making OSHA compliance as easy and as exponentially timesaving as possible for you as we are aware that time is money and accidents cost more than money sometimes. By adequately training and offering fantastic assistance to both you and your employees and by passing an OSHA compliant safety test and courses we feel that your chances at being an accident-free workplace are indeed increased. We here at Online OSHA Safety Training desire you to succeed in both business and safety and work hard to make certain that every available option is presented to you so that you can attain both of those available goals.

Santa Barely Escapes East Coast Snow Storm Cites OSHA Safety Training as Reason

Although the caroling and the Christmas cheer, is all but over, there remains, at the very least, one bearded man, which has something to be thankful for this year. Mr. Santa Claus has been heard on the North Pole Radio Network spinning a tale that involves terrifying snowdrifts, “as big as the Abominable Snowman”. The story goes something like this….

Online OSHA Safety Training

Christopher Cringle, better known as Santa Claus, was heading back home after a very hectic Christmas Eve when a storm of epic proportions started to barrel down on him and his team of OSHA safety trained reindeer. There was little Jolly Old Saint Nick could do but put the wooden pedal to the metal and beg for Rudolph with his nose so bright to flee as fast as they could fly!

OSHA Cards Flying

With snowflakes coming down in all directions, Rudolph did his very best and reminded the rest of the OSHA Construction Trained reindeer; including Comet the slacker, that if they wanted to keep their OSHA compliant cards they had better fly like the wind!

OSHA Safety Training

The story came to a blissful ending as the last Tweet that came from Mrs. Claus stated, “All is well and Santa is resting as well as drinking plenty of rum schnapps”. Thank goodness the team was all present and accounted for on the day Bob Malhotra came to the North Pole Annex to instruct the team in the OSHA Hazwoper Onsite course.
