According to National Safety Council figures, commercial
losses due to workplace fires in 2011 totaled more than $3.8 billion dollars.
Of the more than 5,000 persons who lost their lives due to fires in 2011, the
National Safety Council estimates 450 were workplace deaths.
Those numbers are entirely too high and one lost
life due to a workplace fire, is one too many.
